Semi-Homemade Apple Pie

Hot apple pie in 45 minutes - with about 5 minutes of prep time. I use this recipe when dinner is a little skimpy and I want to make sure everyone has a full belly. The topping is what makes it truly delicious!

Semi-Homemade Apple Pie

1 frozen Pilsbury 9-inch pie crust

2 cans Comstock apple pie filling
1/2 cup Quaker oats
1/4 cup butter, melted

1/4 cup sugar

Prepare the pie crust according to package directions. Typically, you just prick the bottom of the pie crust with a fork and toast it in the oven for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix oats, butter, and sugar in a bowl with a fork. It should stick together to form crumbles.

Remove the pie crust and add the apple pie filling. Sprinkle with oat topping. Bake according to pie filling instructions - usually 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Pie is done when it is hot, bubbly, and the crumble topping is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Enjoy!
