A classic Italian favorite: Spaghetti and Meatballs! Everyone loves this recipe, even kids. Its surprisingly easy to make, and even easier if you buy a jar of sauce and a bag of frozen meatballs for busy weeknights. File this one under "comfort foods". Do you have a recipe to share? Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs
1 box of spaghetti noodles, cooked
2-3 cups of your favorite Marinara
1 lb. ground meat (hamburger, turkey, pork, or a mixture)
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
1 TBS each oregano, basil, and parsley
1 TBS powdered garlic
1 TBS onion powder
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. I like to use my hands. Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet. I usually get about 20-25 meatballs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. That's it!
*This recipe is great for Once a Month Cooking OAMC or make ahead recipes, too. You can make a big batch of these and freeze them until you need them. Just reheat in a skillet with some sauce for 15-20 minutes or until heated throughout.
Serve spaghetti, topped with meatballs, and covered in sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and add some garlic bread if you like.
