I cannot believe these turned out so well! Beautiful, light, gooey balls coated with crunchy red and green sugar, and the decorative sugar is the only sugar in this recipe. This turned out to be my favorite sweet this year. Do you have a recipe to share? Submission Guidelines
Low Sugar Red and Green Christmas Puffs
1 tube sugar free Pillsbury cinnamon rolls with sugar free icing
Red decorating sugar
Green decorating sugar
Open the tube of cinnamon rolls and separate dough into 8 rolls according to package instructions. Set icing aside. Cut each roll into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a little ball. You should come out with 32 balls. Sprinkle some red sugar onto a saucer and sprinkle the green sugar onto another saucer. Roll half the cinnamon balls in red sugar. Coat well. Place red balls on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for about 10 minutes.

I wanted to make a Thanksgiving version of this using orange and green decorating sugar. But I couldn't find the sugar free cinnamon rolls! Next time, I will request them in advance so the store can order them.
