Cinnamon

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a widely recognizeable spice in both taste and smell. It is an ancient spice, mentioned in the Bible in both Proverbs and Song of Solomon.

Cinnamon goes great with ham, pork, sausage dishes, shrimp, stewed or baked chicken, beef stew, fruit, pies, carrots, onions, spinach, squash, sweet potatoes, biscuits, nut bread, sweet rolls, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, pudding, custard, apples, and pies.

If you taste your dish, and want to bring out the sweetness in it, add some cinnamon.
